Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
What a joke the BBB is. Like any good consumer we went to the BBB to determine which Moving Company to use. The BBB stated that the one we were selecting was in good standing and only had a few claims against them, all of which were closed.

Moving day - we had previously made a deposit of close to $1000.00. The movers did not show up. Told us that they were stuck in Miami in weather. Well we live in Orlando and so I looked at the weather for Miami.. blue skies. Closing on the house was on Wednesday and we had to be out of the house so we told them they had to be there EARLY the next morning.

Day 2 - Well they showed, in a Ryder truck. Warning signs started to go off. Then they looked at the furniture and said 'You have nice furniture, we are going to have to charge more because we will have to pack it better'. I'm sorry, I don't care if my furniture costs $5.00 or $5000.00 I expect it to get to the destination in one piece. They DOUBLED the price. We sent them packing.

BBB time - because we had made deposit already and the company was not returning phone calls to us we contacted the BBB to assist in the retrieval of our deposit.

The first contact BBB made with the company they said 'the check is in the mail'

6 months later and four such emails stating that the company told them they were refunding the money I get an email from the BBB stating that they had done everything they could and we would need to go to arbitration. I said, please have someone contact me to go start the process. NOTHING, not a phone call, not an email NOTHING from the BBB. This is supposed to be one of their services.

Now today, I get an email stating the following...

Complaint ID#: 34010097

Business Name: USA Moving Services, LLC

We have received your most recent correspondence in the above-mentioned complaint case.

You have indicated that you are NOT satisfied with the business' response in the matter.

However, in the judgment of the Better Business Bureau, the business has made a good-faith effort to resolve the matter. Although, we realize that you may still feel the matter is not resolved, we have closed the case.

Sincerely,

Sue Pomeroy

Now tell me this... they company never made the refund so OF COURSE I was not satisfied with their response. BBB never setup the arbitration as they promised was part of their service... so what the hell good are they?

Interestingly enough, during this entire process I found out that someone that works for the Columbia BBB used the same company for moving their father and his things got stolen... wonder if they helped their own ??

Additionally, I was told that they did not put on their website any 'outstanding' cases, so when you look at the BBB you aren't getting the truth. They could have 100 complaints opened against them, but you will never know until the case is closed. In my situation, the BBB decided to close it stating the Company had given Good Faith solutions. So you should see one more Complaint for this company out there making me, the consumer, look at fault for not getting any resolution to my issue.

Someone should sue the BBB for being fraudulent

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
