I ordered a set of Beltone hearing aids 5/15.  The audologist called my insurace provider and was told the amount they would pay. I paid the balance. The aids arrived on 6/15 and I started using them. Poor quality for the price you pay.On 8/15, Beltone contacted me and said the insurance paid less than originally stated and I owed an additional $1066.       

I spoke with insurace rep. and went to Beltone and paid $1066. The bill was now paid in full.The audiologist told me if or when the insurace pays I would receive a refund. After talking with insurance reps for months, they agreed they had underpaid and sent Beltone the additional payment in Dec. On Dec. 28/20015, Beltone sent me a check for $731, which is $365 less than what I had paid on the bill. After I made many  calls and office visits  checking on the shortage, the woman who does the billing told me that she had charged for "added services". My bill had been paid in full for rour months.   

I asked what these services were and she stated as per her contract they could charge the insurance companys these "added service" fees. She never said what they are, just per contract allowed.I was not billed for anything from Beltone in over six months, so if I had I not gotten the insurace to pay up, these fees would never be paid.

 On checking the insurace paperwork I see that the total bill submitted by Beltone is $300 higher than my original bill. This was never mentioned to me in my adjustment office visits.

Beltone issue was resolved after discussions. They offered $365 refund or extended warranty, which was acceptable. The main issue was the insurance providers payment.
