Bayou Park Apartments Frivolous cleaning charge after move out Houston Texas
I moved out of Bayou Park Apartments in June. This apartment complex is owned by Venterra Realty. My wife and I made sure to clean the apartment from top to bottom, so we would have no problems. My father, my wife, and I saw that the apartment was in good condition when we left, just as it had been when we moved in.
However, I called up the office to make sure that everything was in order, and I was informed of a $110.00 charge for cleaning the carpet due to an 'odor'. There was no odor. My Wife, my Father, and I know that there was no odor, we had no pets, and none of our guests over the year that we were there ever commented on any odors.
Bayou Park is trying to steal our money. I have made a complaint to the Houston Better Business Bureau on this matter. I hope I can get a refund. Beware, Bayou Park Apartments will try to scam you!
