Complaint Review: BANK ONE - LENDER RECOVERY - PLAINFIELD Indiana

I made my car payment in November of 2002 ...I done this via the night drop box and 2 money orders . A week later i recieved a phone call from supposedly a bank manager saying that she had taken my payment out of the dropbox and posted payment and it got lost somewhere between the Plainfield branch and The main branch . She asked if I could go to my bank to see if the check had been cashed and get a copy of it , I then explained it was 2 money orders and she asked if I could bring in my reciepts and I did when I got the time to do it .

Then I started recieving harrassing phone calls saying my account was past due and it was bot 1 day past due . Then the month came we all dread i did fall 1 month behind on my car payment because of an illness and lost time from work . My payment was not yet overdue for the second month and I purchased money orders for the past due payment and the current payment ...however it was on a Saturday and I surely did not want to leave them in the drop box again , So i kept them in my purse with full intentions on paying them on Monday morning when I could walk in and give them to a person and get them date stamped and get several copies of them before and after cashed .

The very next day (Sunday) my mother took me and my 5 yr old daughter out to eat at Applebees and that is the first time I qwleft the house that day . I parked my car in the lot and before I even got to our table My car was gone they had repossesed it and I was only a month overdue and it is the first time I had ever been late on my car payment ...However what I didnt know is they never took care of the misplaced payment and it was still on my account as not been made ...when they knew they are the ones who lost it !! I had to take my last vacatiuon of the year to try and get things straightened up and they simply told me at Bank One they would not speak to me about it and sent me to collections over and over and were very RUDE to me when I walked in to talk about it !!!!!!! OVER THEIR MISTAKE !!!!!!!

After making me go through a week of living HELL without my medicine that was in my car that they refused to let me get out !!!! and after the past due and current payment were made days before that they were still holding my car for the payment they lost...

Finally they recieved copies of the money orders from the company i purchased them from and the next day after some more arguing they allowed me to get my car , but when I picked it up from LENDER RECCOVERY (INDIANAPOLIS) my car had been driven 287 miles and WRECKED and alot! of items in my car were gone including prescription medicines for pain they also scratched my door by using a key on it instead of the remote which they did have in thier possesion !!!!

I am still fighting this and have retained legal services ...It has emotionally scarred my daughter and left me with a car that is wrecked and scratched and lost time that cannot be replaced !!!!!!

DONT BANK THERE !!! BEWARE THEY MIGHT RIP YOU OFF TOO TOO !!!!!!! THEY HAVE NOW PUT THIS ON MY CREDIT REPORT AS A REPOSESSION AND IT IS GOING AGAINST ME !!!!

This was their fault and I should not in any way shape or form be penilized because they cannot keep track of the money I paid ...after it hits their hands they are responsible for it !!!!!!!!!!!
