I had a run-in with Bally in Florida about 10 years back. They wanted me to sign that big contract and I told them I'd have to take it home with me to look over. They said it couldn't leave the office. Hmmmm.....then how could I take my copy home after I signed it ??? I scooped the contract off the desk an into my pocket and proceeded to leave. The manager said he would call the police and I told him in a rather loud voice in front of several of his front desk employees "You don't have the stones to". That shut him down pretty quick. I left with the contract and after spending a few hours going over it at home found it was a real joke. The customer basically gets screwed. Keep in mind that when anyone offers you a contract to sign it becomes your property and you are free to do with it what you want. Sign it, keeep it or trash it. Don't be intimidated into signing anything on the spot.

i am an employee of ballys corperate office in norwak,ca. i work in there collections department we are told to rush customers off the phone if they are not paying their bill. customers can not be transfered to customer services if they have a delinquint account. we have a certain amount of time to talk to customers . they discourage talking to members for over 3 minutes there fore if customers have billing disputes or any other disputes we tell them we will file a company complaint which does no good because who we forward them to the are director, does not even follow up on them and rarely calls customer back i have had so many complaints with customers saying they were lied to. they train sales reps to leave things out because it is customers responsibility to read.i am filing a class action suite they will fire employees who dont collect enough money. i am a caring rep and i try to listen to complaints and sincerely help . i see people credit ruined every day if someone wants to talk further e- mail me i have plenty more to tell
