Paid in full almost year in advance for a show quality/top tier pricing for a puppy. after litter was born i didnt want any of the color coat of pupppies so said would wait for the next litter. a week later i got a text with a picture of a puppy with the coloring i desired and said he was 8 weeks old and if i was interested. they had contacted another breeder or gotten him from somehwere and gave me this puppy. once he was 6 months old i noticed him running and moving awkwardly and had xrays and MRIs done by 2 specialists and the dog had severe hip dysplasia. I contected Kim and Lee and asked for them to reimburse me for vet bills as well as the money i paid for the puppy. their response was that they would take my puppy and have it put down and replace it with another puppy. This was an immediate red flag and contacted my attorney. Please avoid Kim And Lee and avoid getting a puppy that is in pain and suffering due to poor breeding and a fraudulent business. Curently in process of suing them in civil court under guidance of my attorney due to being able to retreive more money in civil court as opposed to suing the business becuase they do not have insurance on their "business"

After much investigation... I learned that everything Grainger Ratterree wrote in his last post was not truthful. I contacted each agency that he supposedly filed a report with about Avalanche Kennel.

I learned that each person he spoke to asked about the contract between us and he either didn't mention one or he did not send. I spoke with Kelly at the BBB office located in Greenville SC, she told me... Yes she spoke with Grainger Ratterree about his dog and he never sent her any of the info she requested.

No Vet records or our contract. So I did. I forwarded her all our text and emailed her my contract signed by Grainger. I contacted his lawyer Jeff Buncher and was told Grainger had not been in contact with him since the start of 2018 and  there was no case in his office against me.

I also made sure to forward him the same info as I had sent to the BBB.  I then contacted the Animal Control located in Spartanburg County and the one in Greenville County and was also told NO CASE against Avalanche Kennels was open for investigation.

I'm not understanding why you would say all these mean things. There is a contract between us. You agreed to the terms. You read my contract before you paid for the puppy. I know you are upset but this is not the way to handle it. 

Avalanche Kennels would never ask a family to return a puppy due to bad hips. As it states in our contract we ask for you to spay/neuter the pup and send vet documents to us stating surgery has been completed. We then move forward with you picking another puppy from litter of your choice.

You changed your story in both your post about your puppy. We have been nothing but kind to you Grainger. When you text us about your puppy getting attacked at the dog park, we were there to help you. 

I have text where you brag about your dog and what a wonderful service dog he is. You have done a great job with Primo. Again we are very sorry he has hip problems.

Puppy Mill style breeding under investigation

 The health guarantee is posted on the website in their description. If you pay money for the best quality dog they can produce and you get such a defect/handicapped animal and nothing is done to try and rectify the situation it just is morally wrong and bad business. Why would someone want a replacement puppy when they got such a bad product the first time and breeder did nothing to try and cover vet bills/offer any refund? The puppy also came from another breeder and breeder tried passing it off as their own because I was made aware/received pictures of all available puppies as they were born and suddenly /randomly got a picture of said available puppy at 7 weeks old out of nowhere. Avalanche cane Corso also has been reported to the Better Business Bureau, as well as the ASPCA , and the local sheriff department and are currently being investigated for puppy mill style activity, animal abuse and fraud. Please avoid this crooked business and it’s fraudulent owners.

Anyone that has ever purchased or read our policy page knows this is NOT true. It is posted on the policy page of our Website avalanchecanecorso.com/Policies.htm and written in our contract that no one from Avalanche Cane Corso would ever ask a family to return their puppy due to hip issues. As stated in our contract we ask for proof to be provided By Veterinarian, Pennhip or OFA. We then ask for puppy to be spay/neutered and proof of surgery to be provided. Once these documents have been provided we move forward to sending replacement puppy. No proof of neuter has been provided from this person. All families purchasing pick of litter or breed quality pup sign a contract. Which this person did. We have offered to replace puppy, he refused. Per our contract a replacement puppy is still available to this person.
