Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Ok to start off ill let you know that i used to work for them and no longer do. I would like to give you some insight on this company and the products they try to push and why your repair bills are so high. First off the owner of this company is Tom Wanner and his brother used to own autohaus harrisburg which was shut down due to scamming customers as well as their employees out of thousands and thousands of dollars. Ok as far as the cars go. They try to sell you a new or used VW,audi or porsche car that is no where near worth the price they ask for them. These cars are so problematic that when ever they go into the shop they cost thousands to get out. They have so many problems from control arms to ignition coils to mass air flow sensors to interior trim and  peices you name it they have all those in stock in the parts room in large quanities. Just ask them to see the parts room you will see for your own eyes. Did i forget to mention the $1200 exaust cat that they sell like pancakes at ihop. Now to their labor rates and fees. They charge by the book if it says it takes 4 hrs thats what they charge even if it takes the 40 mins.

Here is an example. On the Audi A4 the cam adjuster seals by the book says it take like 6 hrs. It only takes the mechanic about an hour to do because they found a way to take shortcuts and cut the time in half but you still pay for the 6 hrs. Also lets not forget about how they tell you this and that is wrong with your car so you think it needs it right now. Here is an example: You can Pretty much bet when you take your car in they will tell you it needs front and back with rotors when there is nothing wrong with your rotors. Here is another way they scam you. They charge you the price of factory parts and then the call IMC and order aftermarket parts at a quarter of the price and sell it to you at the vw,audi, porsche factory parts price. Now to the car sales part of it. Tom Wanner and his sales men are a bunch of snakes waiting in the weeds. As a matter of fact his top sales man Mr Fry Had a dealership of his own that he got from his dad and he sunk that ship. They sweet talk you into a deal than tell you they will throw in a 1oo dollar set of floor mats that really only cost $50.00. Once you sign those papers the sales man Mr Wanner and the snake in the front office in charge of the books laugh all the way to the bank. They know you will be back more than once for that $1000 repair bill. You would be better served going down the street to the honda or toyota dealer. Trust me You will get better service and a better car and you won't get scammed by these con artist. Id have to say before tom wanner got this business from his dad it was a great company. His dad actually cared. All tom sees is your wallet. But if your looking for a vw id recommend going to Ha boyd or somewhere else. If i can save you from making a big money mistake i did my job. thank you

Autohaus Response

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Wed, June 15, 2011

I regret that I had not seen this report earlier.   The report is obviously the retaliation of an ex employee which is unfortunate.

The Autohaus Agency in Lancaster Pa is Autohaus Lancaster Inc.; factory authorized for Volkswagen Audi and Porsche and has been in business at this location for the past 47+ years.
Our customers reward us with repeat business, and our customer satisfaction scores bear out
the promise of excellent service.

The references made about this agency are poorly stated, poorly written, and not factual.  Consumers are urged to take reviews such as this one, not into consideration as they serve
no one but the author.

Autohaus Lancaster shares no relationship with the former Autohaus Harrisburg agency.
Autohaus Harrisburg was sold to a new owner and was never "shut down"
Autohaus is a commonly used dealership name here in the USA and in Germany.
The salesperson referenced was an employee of a family business and now works at Autohaus.
He was never the owner of that agency in Lititz.

The entire posting is quite erroneous.

Customers are welcome to visit our agency in person and decide for themselves as to the
validity of this report.
