Auction Road (Louie) ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing Goleta California
My husband ordered "How to do business on Ebay" (or something on that order) from Auction Road on June 14, 2003.
The whole program was very hard to understand, therefore, my husband sent it back on July 3, 2003 with a return receipt that was sent back showing they received it. We had a 30-day money back guarantee. It was sent back within that time frame.
The program was put on our account on June 14, and monthly charge was put on our account that same day.
On July 3, 2003 my husband called Auction Road and talked to Louie, informing him he had sent it back, and asking him to credit our card. He informed my husband he could not return his money.
Today, November 10, 2003 a Chris Whetten, at 1-800-296-2072, ext 3089 called to talk to my husband who was at work. My husband called him back when he got home from work. Chris asked who the person was my husband talked to (Louie) and then told my husband he knew no such person, and that he would have to talk to Louie. SO, needless to say, my husband was quite upset with the whole situation. I then called the number above and asked for Louie. A lady answered the phone and said she knew no such person.
We have tried to get our money back ($98.90), to no avail. This country is totally falling apart and scamming everybody. These people should be put in jail!!!
