My friend Mark has sold quite a few coins to this coin shop in the past. He has also bought a few coins from them. IF (and I mean IF) you can find good prices on UNTAMPERED CERTIFIED COINS FROM PCGS, ANACS OR NGC then by all means, go for it. HOWEVER, if you are looking for raw coins, the coins that they sell are not what they appear to be. This shop sells raw coins that they falsely grade and which have nicks on the rims, are cleaned, etc. and they are NOT marked as such. And they want the highest prices for them. This happened to Mark, because he trusted them. He bought them TWO colorized BRAND NEW coins and all he wanted in return was a raw flying eagle cent, F-15 at best. Scott Marsden would not take the deal as it was and insisted he get an extra measley FIVE ADDITIONAL DOLLARS from Mark in order for Mark to obtain the flying eagle. When Mark got it home and removed it from it's holder to examine the coin more thorough, it had nicks on the rim. Scott never marks these coins as they really are so be very careful and bring your loupe and REMOVE THEM FROM THEIR HOLDERS to examine them thoroughly befor even THINKING about making an offer. And they do NOT pay the highest prices. They pay some of the LOWEST. Mark is done with this business. Mark now get's great coins and great prices from coins that he sells from EMPIRE COINS in scottsdale, Az. They paid him OVER FOURTY DOLLARS MORE than Marsden would for 2 coins so how on earth can they even TRY and say that they pay the highest prices?
