When AT&T wireless intoduced the M Life wireless service they marketed it tremedously claiming it was the best wireless service ever. When I signed up, I asked customer service to verify that it would work in all major cities. I knew the representative personally so she sincerely consucted with management and recieved affirmation.

I made my first two business trips and it did not work in either city (DesMoines, IA and Omaha, NE). Since I was a self employed independent sales representative. This matter cost me at least a thousand dollars in wasted travel expenses and possibly several thousand more in missed sales opportunities.

When I contacted Customer Service they confirmed that the service was not yet installed in those cities but at some point in the future it would be connected. They could not, however, tell me how long it would be. So I had no choice but to cancel the service. When my final bill arrived it included a $175 early cancellation fee. Again I spoke to AT&T Wireless and told them that they did not meet the requirements that they committed to. The customer service rep that I signed up with agreed with me but AT&T took no action. Now it remains on my credit report. AT&T is the most unethical wireless telephone company in the world. No one should ever do business with them.
