When I switched wireless plan from unlimited to 300 min a month, I asked representtive to do a switch on the next billing cicle, and rep told me that will be done. Later on I get a bill for 400$ (my unlimited talk time was 99$ / month) I was very surprised. I talked to rep and they told me that that was fixed. They told me that my change was made on the day I called about plan change, so they told me that it will be taken care. Couple months later I got the same bill with those charges (400$) so I decided that I'll send a check and forget about it, so I did it. A year later Collection aget calls me up and tells me that he was referd to me from AT&T to collect that money. The bottom line is ATT ripping people left and right on their Cell deals. DO NOT USE ATT for anything or they will screw you. Now I am trying to resolve this issue with the collection company. Everything is because ATT rep didn't follow customer request, in those cases customer suffers, but why should customer suffer for company falts.

June 8,2002 my brother passed away due to renal cell carsonoma cancer and the whole week that he came home to die , my bill got out of hand and my plan had been the wrong plan because obviously / became 650.00 and this seems outrageous and then they can't even sit down and help me figure a better plan when the bills are getting out of hand . Im just going to say I don't need a cell if this is how they do customers in need of help with my money,

I work for at&t customer care, and when you say that you wanted the rate plan to change effective the next billing cycle, I think maybe you did not make that known, for the simple fact that when att wireless customer care make rate plan changes that they backdate to the beginning of the billing cycle. You would have been told that and would have known that if you told the representative that you wanted it to begin the next billing cycle. I talk to hundreds of peopel everyday making rate plan changes. You can make the rate plan change to the beginning of the billilng cycle only; even if that means going later and making the change to your account with your authorization that is the only way that would happen. If your bill was that high and it was an error on the representatives part and not your, then when you did call back in the next person you talked to would have fixed your bill to where it would be acceptable to you and to the company IF it was our error. At&t strives for complete customer satisfaction, which we all know is not going to happen with every customer, or the customers that want everything for free. If you got the problem fixed and the only way it would have been sent to a collection agency is if you didn't pay your bill at all and you cancelled the service, other then that AT&T wireless will work with the customer. At&t is the only company that I know that will work with the customer, give credits for customer appreciation, discounted equipment, or free equipment upgrades, or even loyalty credits, and bending over backwards for the customer. I truly believe AT&T wireless is the best company out there that will work with customers. I know that if I ever leave the company I will still use them for wireless services. The company cannot give you free service all the time for nothing, and from what I hear day in and day out, and what you read I am sure that is what you wanted as well. I am sure if you ask your landlord that you aren't paying your rent or mortgage because the sink dripped or you just dont think he told you every month you had to pay on time that he would give you the rent free. I DONT THINK SO. AT&T wireless is the best company out there and if you refused to pay your bill then that was your choice and no one else's and if you don't pay your bill then eventually it will go to collections. If you actually called the customer care dept then they would have tried to help you out; but like I said you aren't going to get service for free. The other companies out there won't even give you credit listen to your story, or even answer your call 24/7 like AT&T wireless does. I think maybe you should stop whining because you had a part of the error that was made, but if you still have your bill call customer care at 1-800-888-7600 to get resolution for the bill or email me I will be glad to look at your account and help you. AT&T again is open 24/7 so there is always a time for you to call within our business hours.
