I need a lawyer but I do not know how I can even pay one without a steady income and when I do have income, these people at Asset Acceptance have been stealing money from my accounts since 2011. They have stolen unemployment from me, full paychecks, and now from a joint account.

This year early October, I have asked numerous times for information regarding my accounts with statements, paperwork from the original creditors,Ect.... They have not provided me with this information, and then in November, they decided to post date a letter, send it to me 13 days later and say I have 14 days to respond. I did not receive the letter until a week after the stamped date of November 26, 2013 (This Saturday) stating they are stealing the money that was levied, which belonged to a joint account.

I already told them in writing this is a joint account, I want that money back because it did belong to me and it was an entire paycheck.

I no longer have the strength to fight them alone and I am sick and tired of this company lying, stealing from and and ruining my credit! They also reopened an old case number by lying to me to make me start paying for it. Now I am in deeper debt with no statements of payments made, how much I owe never has changed either because they keep adding interest! I can not even apply for health insurance by 2014 because they messed up my credit report so badly. I will never be able to pay these criminals.

I am in fear they will come after my unemployment, or any money I make with my side business. I do not want to agree to make any payments to them and they won't stop coming after me.

This is not even half of what they have done to me throughout the past 3 years of their harassment, and because I was unaware of the SOL laws in NJ, they reopened my account every time they stole from me. I have all the proof of what was done because I kept most of the paperwork.

I don't have time to figure out the laws, to take them to court on my own, and can't afford a lawyer. What am I supposed to do? File for bankrupty? That costs money too. I am at my wits end!! HELP!!!
