Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

To begin with, I am close to retirement, having worked over 40 years as a mechanical engineer with a BSME & MSME. So i just signed up for a single course: Electrician Certification. The couse has two basic components: residential wiring and commercial wiring. There was a significant amount of redundancy that only needed to be covered once. I know because I took and passed two electrical science courses in college that covered all the material in this course. But of course I got no credit for my already acquired knowledege and experience.

My basic point is that the course is overkill to unnecessarily drag out the course work. Proof is that I scored 100 on most of the exams with the rest being 90 or better. So after awhile as most others have said, I just wanted it to end. But it has dragged on and on because of the second last assignment: the idiotic "career project." Now I asked why would someone retired need a career plan? They claim it is needed for accredidation. NONSENSE! Why would a 70 year old need career guidance and/or  plan. I called and argued till I was blue in the face, but all I got was do it and folllow the instructions. BULL! This so-called project is totally irrelevant to my retirment goals and makes absolutely no sense for me, but they don't give a darn. And the worst aspect is that this useless project counts as 81% of the total course grade. Absolutely ridiculous! It has no relationship whatsoever to the ONE coures for which I signed up. This project may have merit for students in a degree program, but it is total waste of time and effort for anyone taking a single course.

So I just filled it out and only got a 73. Plus, I also got a series of inane comments from the so-called instructor. More idiocy.Plus I got no indication that I was done. Isn't 70 passing? No mention yet of issuing my certificate.

As others have complained, the website is the most amatuer, low-end application I have ever experienced. I continually had access problems and was forced to call tech support repeatedly. This dysfucntionality further slowed down course completion - especially for part time students working full time.
