Arcadia Financial - TranSouth They gave me the run around on my repossed car that I got back and the damamage done to it Charlotte North Carolina
I have a 97 Honda Civic which was purchased in Nov 2001. I had made my payments on time for a while then I fell behind because of my job and the slow period that we go through the year. Then the clutch went out on my car which I had only had a year. I know how to drive it so I know that I couldn't have just rode the clutch on my car that bad to the point that it would just die!
Well I had to of course get it fixed which was (450.00) estimated. I had it at the shop getting it looked at. I was also called more times at my house and at my job than my family even calls me. I ask them to please quit calling me at work because I was getting trouble from my manager. They of course as you guessed still called me at work. Well I had finally spoke to someone and they made arrangements with me to catch my payments up. Well I was at work and was 4 months pregnant (also remember my car is still at the shop and will not go anywhere because they have ripped it apart looking at the clutch) and suddenly I have a gentleman from a towing company asking me where my car is because he has come to repo it. I told him it was broke and at the shop getting fixed.
Well he asked me how to get to it. I asked him why he was here because I had just spoke to someone and they said they would help me catch my payments up. He said he knew nothing of it and that he need to know where the car was. I told him the name of the shop and then he wanted directions. Well of course being the pregnant person I was I told him "Good luck finding it, you better get a phone book or something cause I am not telling you." Well long story short I ended up paying out my behind to get it back. When I finally got the car back there was damage all over my car. I had my front tag ripped off which was held in by 1 1/2 screws (cause I am redneck), there was multiple scratches on the front bumper.
The side piece that runs along the bottom had been detached from the back side of the car on both sides. I called Arcadia they told me I would have to take it up with the towing company. I called them they told me they didn't damage the car, and that I need to take it up with Arcadia because they were responsible for it. Well I had had enough and just gave up. I was pregnant and didn't feel like messing with them anymore. Yet still I am paying for the car (which runs fine now just looks like crap) and I will be so happy when I am finished with them because then I can write them a lovely letter explaining what a piece of #### company they are and that I would rather walk everywhere then borrow a penny from them. Thanks to whoever made this web site it made me feel a lot better knowing I wasn't the only one who has had multiple problems with them.
