My letter of complain sent to Apria on 9/8/2018

To whom it may concern:

I am truly disgusted with your company.  Without any notification, you put my balance of $85.10 in the hands of a debt collector.  I had been faithfully paying down the balance each month and was on your automatic monthly payment plan to make sure I didn't miss a payment.  When I called yesterday about the balance being sent to collections, I was informed I was 270 days overdue.  News to me!  And now I have taken a hit on my credit rating.  Great!

I initially ordered what were deemed necessary, replaceable parts for my CPAP machine, e.g., masks, filters, etc.  Little did I know that my insurance company, United HealthCare, would decide rather arbitrarily not to cover these expenses after doing so previously.  They apparently informed you well after the order had been placed, but you did nothing more than tack on the full cost of the items onto my monthly bill without any explanation given.  I called your offices repeatedly to clear this matter up.  At one point, I even paid off the balance earlier this year, so I wouldn't be repeatedly bothered with bills.  Nevertheless, the bills kept on coming.  And now the matter has been turned over to a bill collector instead of approaching me directly.

I will never buy products from your company again.  They are way overpriced (according to the United HealthCare rep I spoke with, whom I don't trust any more than I trust you) and I have unable to return them because of your ridiculous 30-day return policy which includes the lengthy time it took to get to me in the first place.

It's patently clear to me you are an example of a greedy, self-serving business very good at charging individuals and insurance companies ridiculous prices for your products.  I will refuse to do business with you in the future and will warn others to stay away from you, your product line based on your serious deficiency in providing correct information either by phone or by mail.

I would warn any of you not to ever use this company.  As many of the previous complaints point out, they are incompetent, greedy, and perfectly willing to ruin your credit rating if they don't get paid.  Never again!
