AOL Store Pop-up ad misleading for complete Office Suite
The pop-up ad stated "Save $250 off complete Office Suite, listing all the programs,only $49.95 plus s&h and taxes. NOWHERE did it say this in only a TRAINING software for Office Suite.
Upon recieving the acknowledgement of my order, theres where you find out what you get for $49.95. For all I know this is worth $49.95, my complaint is this is not what was offered in the ad! A total and absolute false advertisement, just for gullible, old ladies like me. I already know how to run Office Suite, I only wanted the prduct itself for my new computer, Dell left it off my order after changing it 4 times, still waiting on all my equipment to get set up, but thats another story. Dell is not my complaint.
I spoke with 2 seperate "support" reps, a 2 hour ordeal, was told I can refuse the shipment but will still have to pay all the s&h and taxes, God only knows what that is. Their suggestion was I try their product for 60 days, then return insured, at my expense and they would refund plus my shipping expense...that will be a dark day!
I have been with AOL since their birth or mine and in the old days, there was never all this rip-off stuff, something has changed with them and not for the betterment of their subscribers.
I recenly switched from 5.0 to 6.0 and due to very poor direction from one of their techs, in the process, lost all my mail, addresses, downloads, everything, would you believe they had me uninstall 5.0 before loading 6.0? I am no computer literate, just someone who likes to keep in touch and AOL used to be so easy to navigate. What can I do to keep them from getting any of my $$$.
