On a night of fun, I asked for my tab to learn it was $81. I disagreed with the bill and the bartender refused to give me an itemized receipt. He instead handed me a a piece of paper with the amount of money I owed on it. Meanwhile, standing in line, another patron is rudely yelling at me. He was very insulting and the bartenders did nothing about it.

I had contacted my bank and received notice that the bar took out $97. I had called the bar on Monday, 2 days after the event. They agreed they would have the owner to contact me and he would take care of it for me. He called the next day insisting he was working on it and was taking care of it. The next day, I called him and told him that 2 wines, each costing $7 was on my bill. And I sure knew I didn't drink any wine. I asked him to remove it, in which he refused.

This bar had also taken more tip money than what I wrote on the receipt for them to take out. They took $16. They agreed to return it only after I pointed out their mistake. They ripped me off. It was a gay bar and I felt as exploited as a woman. Can a woman go to a gay bar without being f***ed in the a$%?

Don't go to this bar.

I am a frequent to the Amsterdam night club. I find that your problems with the bar are mainly your own. When you go to a crowded bar, protect yourself and take the cash that you need for the night. As a former bartender, it can be confusing at times when there is a lot of people and you are running numerous tabs, especially when several bartenders may be adding on to it if you do not go to the same bartender. As for their prices, yes they are high. But they do classify themselves as more of an upscale establishment. Sorry that you were yelled at rudely, but when you are holding up the line in a crowded night club, gay or straight, you should know that you more than likely will have rude comments headed your way. With the $81 tab, I'd have to ask you what you drank. Cause if you drank hard liquor, you could be paying anywhere from $4.50-$10 a drink, especially if you would for say be drinking a Grey Goose Martini or something to that effect. As for you comments at the end, maybe you should not be in an establishment like that in the first place. Find somewhere new to go, and if you are not a l*****n, stay in your own "corner." Comments such as that are not wanted or needed in one of the few places that us gay and l*****n citizens are able to go w/o people like you.
