My company, The Pipe Doctor Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, has been a service provider for AHS for 3 months. I have a small fleet of service trucks - they are well maintained, stocked, my technicans are uniformed and trucks with full company wrap. I am fully licensed, insured and bonded. To hear the slander in one of the replies is insane! AHS approves 95% of all service calls my company is dispatched to, and they promptly pay all invoices. I highly recommend AHS to home owners considering a home warranty. Mike Diack The Pipe Doctor Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning 516-295-2448 www.pipedoc.net

In order to work for AHS you have to always keep current General Liability insurance, Automobile insurance, worker's compensation insurance and the trade or business license that applies to the work being done. Contractors are shut off the day of expiration if they do not supply AHS with annual documentation. Please don't make false claims on the internet. People tend to believe what they read without any investigation on thier own.

AHS has had a nasty history of denying claims for warranty service. Unfortunately, with the drop-off in home sales (and warranty sales) the company is in rather dire financial straits. With no new income coming in from warranty sales (being sold at much higher prices than last year) they can't afford to pay out claims on existing warranties. They are denying claims just to survive. Did the technician show up in a marked truck? I doubt it. Did he leave a full write-up of his findings? I doubt it. Was he even licensed to do business in your state? I doubt it. AHS pays a handsome commission to real estate folks who sell the warranties. The service fees you pay to 'technicians' is gravy for them. It's time for AHS to fold.
