American Freight, Managers And Employees Lie..Brad, James both, Jim, It will be delivered today, it's on the truck. Two weeks later, no furniture. Then it arrives damaged and incomplete. Fairfield Ohio
I purchased bedroom furniture with 1300.00 cash on 5/12/08. I was told three times it was on the truck and sent out for delivery. I sat at my house waiting, and was sleeping on the floor. The truck never showed up, and it's a shame that a 60 year-old cancer survivor should have to sleep on the floor. I don't have a bed, because my old bed was left at my old house.
I finally had enough and called "Susan" at the corp office and she told me that she would get the situation resolved. Susan would not provide her last name, even though I asked her several times. She was rude, and short with me, as I could hear in her voice that she takes calls like mine frequently. I finally received a call from "Brent", who identified himself as a "District Manager". Brent told me that my furniture I ordered was not in the warehouse, but was on a truck from Texas. Brent advised he could deliver part of my bedroom set, and that the other parts would be delivered in two days. Two days later, no furniture was delivered....and I'm still sleeping on the floor.
I finally got a call back from Brent on 6-13-08 and he told me my bedroom furniture would be delivered before 7:00 pm. By 1100pm I decided to lay down on the floor and go to sleep, as I new I had been lied to again.
What must a 60 year old lady, and cancer survivor do? I guess I will continue to sleep on the floor. The employees, staff, and management of American Freight have no integrity. I have been lied to numerous times, and after I researched American Freight on the internet I found I'm a victim of MANY others. I can't believe that Brad and James at the Fairfield location told me it was on the truck and on it's way to my house, and then I called later and spoke to Jim, and he told me it was still sitting in the warehouse, to later find out that was also lie. Can anyone really help with this kind of Company? How about the Consumer Protection Agency?
