American Family Insurance ripoff Youngtown Arizona
We have been insured with American Family Insurance since 1986. We have had nothing but problems with them since our previous agent retired. We repeatedly cancel policies and this agent's office either is incompetent or crooked. Somehow our policies never get cancelled therefore the premiums never seem to get refunded and the bills go on and on and on. I am paying insurance premiums on a house that was sold 3 months ago. The release has been faxed to their office TWICE in the past month. This failure to cancel policies has been happening for at least three months now and on multiple policies. I have called the District Manager for this agent twice and not received call backs. I am afraid I am going to have to file a complaint with the Department of Insurance.
In addition, American Family Insurance sends out the men in the white panel vans to look over the backyard fence of property you own and snoop. Then they send you certified letters stating you can't have that car behind your fence or you need to repair your stucco or they will terminate your policy.
Folks, this is NOT a nice company to do business with. They have gone down the tubes. Take it from someone who used them exclusively for almost 20 years. Do yourself a favor and DON'T.
