American Express Card abusive behavior
On October 1998 I made a payment of $629.87 on a charge of my account.
American Express wrongly credited my account with $62.98. I wrote and explained their mistaske.
Ever since that time it has been a nightmare.
I have written numerous letters, sent faxes, made telephone calls to Ft. Lauderdale, Phoenix and Mexico City, all to no avail.
Not only will not take the charge already paid off my account, they have added interests to it.
I have been turned down at a local bookstore for the use of my card and my frequent flyer miles taken away.
I have sent my cancelled checks many occasions to the company and they won't do anything.
I received a letter on March 10 stating that they were crediting my account with $50 for my troubles, never mind that this is what the law states.
I have had this card since 1977.
This is incredibly negligent on their part and very abusive.
