Hi, This is my second time to post this. It seems that it is no longer on the this web site. I have changed my e mail. That may be why.

I bought my computer direct from a Gateway store in State College PA.in November 2002. In January 2003 AOL debited my bank account for $335.61 which made my account bounce because I had no idea this happend until I recieved my bank statement

When I contacted aol, theysaid that someone went into 'billing' on the online aol account and changed my 'free' service to paying $4.97 a month, getting 3 hours free then $2.50 an hour after that. I didn't know if this did happen or not, they have not shown me anything that says it did. I have called them repeatedly and emailed them asking them to refund the money. I can not figure out how a mistake such as this can not be fixed, if the only thing that happend was a change on the billing form.

There was not any transaction with them to warrent them to recieve money from me. If I have free access to aol for one year, I have it for one year. If a mistake was made in 'billing' it should be fixed and the money refunded!

The only thing they did was change my account back to 'free'and be rude to me on the phone. When I asked a representative about returning my money, he just said smuggly " did I think they would just mail me a check? Well that wasn't going to happen!"

As recent as Sept. 2003 they tried to bill my account again for charges that I didn't not incure. Of course they can not because I immediatly closed that account that they ripped me off from back in Jan 2003.

My Sovereign Bank said that they could see if it was an unauthorized debit but the time limit was up!! How ridiculous Something about it had to be with in 60 days. Well, I was nieve and thought AOL would refund the money and kept trying to talk to them (aol), then the bank time limit was up.

I have phoned, faxed, emailed AOL, with no responce from them about the money they took. They are not going to do anything about it. Not sure what else I can do!!!!!
