Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I am writing in regards to a jobI had in Syracuse, NY, near Liverpool.I found this job on Craigslist. The person who postedthe adwas previously hired as a manager by Ambient Planet as I was told. He recruited me by responding to my e mail. It was a 5 day job, 5 hrs a day..handing out coupons to businesses and door to door for Quiznos subs. It wasvery cold and rainy. Tough job. But I thought I was getting paid well for it so I dealt with the unpleasantness.

They told me it may take 6 wks to pay me but its been that much time already. I sent 5 e mails to Ernie over this time and not any response. I also called the number for the company, Ambient Planet and have gotten only a message and no one has returned my calls. I am concerned not only about not being paid and the insult that goes along with the injustice of being exploited, but also I provided them with my social security number and other private info on my contract which they said I had to fill out in order to get paid. I am concerned for identity theft. This stresses me out.

Who does this kind of thing? How selfish can you get? these are working class people just trying to get by working these jobs just to pay the bills. The other repercussion for me was that I said no to another job that I really could've gotten paid for because of this job. So I really lost out. Very disappointing.

They let me cancel, no problem

Although I liked the service, I called to cancel at the end of the trial because some other things came up financially for me at that time and it was a stretch. Their customer service was easy to communicate with. Obviously it's thier job to try and talk you out of it a little, but when I firmly made my case, they agreed. I checked my statement the following month and no charges. I think what you dealt with may have been a fluke. There's always room for error once in a while when humans and computers are interfacing giant amounts of info. Sorry you had a hard time but I'm pretty sure if you wanted to give it another try, you'd have no problem.

I have decent credit, and Identity Guard helped me

If you're credit is bad, Identity Guard really can't help. No one really can. I mean, my credit is not too bad, not spectacular, but sort of in the middle. I used Identity Guard as a way to prevent further disaster, and it has been successful for that purpose. I find the unusual activity alerts helpful. I know I haven't always been careful online with my credit card number so I feel more secure with Identity Guard protection. Discrepency in scores could be attributed to different things. You might want to check your statements. Sorry for your trouble, but my experience with Identity Guard has been OK.
