I have been an Alltel customer for 2 years, The first year being under contract. I signed up for their $79.00 rate plan and have been paying that for the whole time. I recently found out that this particular plan had been lowered in price to $39.95 about 9 months ago.

They have been charging me $79.00 a month, plus all other fee's totalling on average of $90.00 monthly for a $39.95 plan. I called them and complained that they were charging me double for this plan for almost a year, and I wanted to know why no one ever sent me notification of this price change.

Their response to me was, "It is up to you to look into these things and that we send you promotional flyers in with your monthly billing statement." I have yet to receive a rate plan Promo with my billing statement. I have yet to receive a letter stating that the calling plan I have has been lowered by more than double the rate.

As far as I see it, I have been taken advantage of and they won't refund me the difference in the amount that I have been overpaying for the last 9 months. I have learned to call my cellular carrier on a bi-monthly basis, just to ask if my calling plan has been revised. I am no longer with alltel, they have lost my patronage along with my business patronage.
