All German Auto Stole $3000 Escondido California
I dropped off my 1985 Mercedes for a tune up, thinking they'd only need to have it for 2 days, max.
7 days later they call me saying they need more time, despite the fact I had said multiple times that I was leaving town that weekend and needed the car back. They knew I was an out-of-towner, would never come back as a regular, and ended up charging me a ton of money for almost no work.
They claimed to do all this maintenance and charged $3000. I should've said no. I've since shown it to my regular mechanic in LA and he can't believe it. The oil wasn't changed, the engine was a mess, a new belt they put in is already starting to rip, a two caps were off. They missed all kinds of issues that were fixed immediately, and cheaply!, upon another, more trustworthy, mechanic. As he told me, "I'm sorry, but you were ripped off."
