I will not rent from Alamo Rent A Car again and hope others don't either.  My claim no. is 04702969.  When I attemped to rent my minivan on 12/30/2013 on a flight to Los Angles Airport, I had to wait for over an hour and half to get it (even though i reserved it ahead of time).  By that time, i was tired, frustrated, ready to go and had my family waiting on me.   I was in a hurry and did not have time to inspect the vehicle for damages.  

I am sure someone will comment that it's your responsibility to check the car before taking it.  But what about Alamo's responsiblity to provide good customer service and have the car ready in a reasonable amount of time?  This was poor customer service all around.  The whole time the vehicle was only at my hotel in a gated parking garage and once out to eat.   I am sure that i did not hit anything and i seriously doubt that anyone hit the vehicle in the gated parking garage.  

When I returned the vehicle the Alamo representative notified me of the damage.  I wrote down on the piece of paper that the representive made me sign that I was not responsible for the damages.  A month later I get a letter in the mail that I owe $660.30.  After doing some research, it appears Alamo has a pattern of doing this to their customers and trying to take advantage of them.  

It's not even about the money, because i definitely have the resources to pay it.  If I actually hit something or something hit the vehicle while in my possession, i would definitely pay for it.  Although Alamo has sent me pictures of the damage, they have not sent me any evidence that the vehicle was NOT damaged BEFORE I picked up.  

I have tried to call Alamo to resolve this but no one picks up the phone.  It has been sent to a collection agency and they are only willing to knock off $100 to settle the caes.  I will be filing a report with the Better Business Bureau, post on other websites and pursue other legal recourse.
