Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I'm an older student returning to college. After 2 years at community colleges. I decided it was time to look for a professional school that would help me gain the skills I needed to suceed in the industry of animation.

Lets face it. The truth is, that anything you do in life depends on how much you put in to it,right? but the person ,mentor or school that guides you through it also has to be knowledgable and be teaching you the right information.

It's a two way street with teacher and student relations. You wouldn't go to a Mickey Mouse school that tells you lies and doesn't deliver what they say they do.If you knew this ahead of time you would jump off the boat as quick as you can or avoid it.Unfortunately some people find out when it's too late.

This is just what happened to me. I applied at collins and they were quick to get a hold of me. I lived in Tucson at the time so it was hard for me to get to Tempe because I was still in School finishing up the semester.

I spoke with a representative over the phone for about 2 months. Finally after hearing so many great things about Collins,I decided to pay them a visit. All went great and I was accepted to start in July. My fiance and I made all the arrangements so that we could move to Tempe and start school.

My loan was approved and I was ready to start. My fiance is A traveling nurse so we accept assignments in different states as we neeed them, but once you choose one you have to finish the 3 month contract.

When I went for a second visit to Collins. They were supposed to show me the campus, classes, equipment and more info on the program. The visit was lousy. They hardly let me talk. They showed me labs where the equipment was old and cheap. Some rooms were locked and I had to look thru a window to see what they had. A lot of the equipment was broken as we walked in one dark room. It was almost as if they were trying to hide something. When I asked questions I got half answers that made no sense. The more I asked the more senseless their answers got.

The representative refered to me as hon, babe and sweetie, she no longer respected me by using my name. Especially when my fiance was standing right next to me. The amount of credits they said they were going to accept were later changed to less.

The calls from the school began to fade and it was harder to get a hold of my representative. I came across this web site and other BBB sites and found tons of complaints about collins college. My whole world was destroyed at that moment and I didn't want to believe it,but I knew I had to keep reading. I kept searching more, and the more I searched, the more I found.

When I called them to get answers to the complaints I read, no one returned my calls. I asked to speak with some one in charge of Collins and again no one returned my calls. I tried to get answers for about 2 weeks and all of a sudden I didn't exist to them anymore.I added everyhting up that I had been experiencing and decided to Jump off the boat. I cancelled my loan, Financial aid and registration.

The only thing I couldn't cancel was the move to Tempe for three months. We had to complete the assignment before we left Tempe. Collins told us lies to get us in the school. Once they had us, they put us in a box and forgot about us. They never answered the questions with answers that made sense. There was always something missing and dark about their answers. When I comfronted them about the complaints I found. They all ran and hid from me. I never got a call from anyone for about 3 weeks.

I saw it before it was too late. Thanks to all the people that stated their frustrations with collins on the web. If it would of been only a few complaints I would of stayed. But there was tons of bad stuff on collins.

Yes! It all depends on you, but the education you get is just as important. So don't tell me that you can suceed in a school that just wants your money and doesn't give you what they promise. That is totally the stupidest thing I've ever heard from people responding to some of these complaints.

all that Collins did for me was lie, delay my shool starting time, ignore me, gave me a tour of the school basically in the dark as if they were trying to hide something. Took my entrance money and never once showed concern for my concerns. If you're paying a high price for education I expect to get more than a a chair to sit in. And if the school doesn't have good equiptment in the class rooms, then where is the money really going that we give them?

Be smart do your research like I did and Avoid Collins at all cost. There's alot of schools out there who just want your money and will tell you anything to get you in. Be careful!

I'd like to thank everyone who had the guts to fight for their rights and post their experiences with collins. I Thank God that I only lost my registration money and three months of my time, it could of been worse, but it still hurt. If it weren't for them I would of made a big mistake. Collins plays with peoples lives!! After three frustrating months I can finally move on with the right college that deserves my money, because they earned it instead of stealing it.
