Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

We were asked by Agero to provide a winching service for a customer that had driven their vehicle onto a ditch during a snow storm. We responded out to the scene as requested. One of our most experinced drivers (CDL, 22 years on the job), perfomred the service and got the vehicle back on the road.

After nine days and an additional 500+ miles driven on said vehicle, the customer took the car to a dealership complaining that his alignment was off (no doubt, you crashed into a ditch). The dealership charged $307 for a new tie rod end and alignment. We never went anywhere near the front of the vehicle as we hook ot the rear of it to pull it out...it was impossible for us to cause the damage.

Somehow the "expert" at Agero, who also refused to discuss his qualifications with me when I challenged his conclusions, determined that we were at fault and debited our account $307. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he hung up on me...I have recieved no follow up as requested from a manager or supervisor.

If you are a service provider that has had a similar experience, please contact me as I am considering a class action law suit.

Agero charges service providers for damages caused by customers

What you described is a very common thing with Agero.  One time we were asked to tow a vehicle from a house to a dealership because the customers son crashed it.  Most of the damage was on the passenger side including 2 flat tires and 2 broken wheels.  The car was a Hyundai that uses the through the bumper screw in tow hook.  The car was carefully winched up onto the flatbed using the tow hook that came with the vehicle, and at no time did we need to go under or behind the bumper.

Several weeks later we received a damage claim from Agero stating we ripped the customers bumper off.  We gave them our side of the story, and they supplied us with pictures from the customer.  The pictures showed absolutely ZERO damage in them.  They were just pictures of the completely intact front bumper from several different angles, clearly showing that there was not any damage whatsoever to it.  Agero TOLD us that our driver must have caught the bottom of the bumper with one of the hooks when going underneath the car and ripped it off.  There was clearly no damage in the dozen or so pictures they sent us, and we were never under the bumper at all with any hooks or anything, but they deducted over $600 from our next check because of it and there was nothing we could do about it.

We have had several other damage claims, but thankfully most of them were correctly determined to be attempted fraud by the customer.  There have been others that we were forced to pay for, but this is the most memorable one because I was the driver who did that tow.

I know Agero won't do anything to help you out in this case, but you could take legal action against their customer for fraud.  They crashed their car and filed a false claim that your company caused the damage to it.  That's fraud no matter how you look at it, and your chances in court are much better than your chances getting your money back from Agero.
