AFNI Collection Agency Rip off for 9 year old "not legitimate" debt Bloomington Illinois
In September of 2008, I received a bill from AFNI for a Bell Atlantic phone number. The date of the bill was January 19, 1999. I did not recognize the bill nor had I received any other notices. I moved to California in August 1998. Though I'm not certain, I think this was my number from when I lived on the east coast. When I reviewed the bill, I noticed that the itemized back pages listed a different phone number than my number which was on the front and I did not recognize any of the calls. I disputed the bill with AFNI and all they have done is send me the same bill back with no response. The phone numbers on the original bill no longer work. I even did research on the phone numbers and I don't know any of the people, (provided they have the same phone numbers as they did 9 years ago!)
