Advanced Pools has a long history of ripping off its customers. After discussing that I would remove my redwood gazebo prior to pool construction I came home early one day and caught one of their employees tearing down the redwood gazebo of mine, he told me that the owner had charged another customer of his for it.

Unbeknownst to the owner of the pool company I knew his concrete contractor and when I showed up on the work site during concrete framing I noticed that the amount of area looked to be smaller and the sub (friend) told me that the owner told him to short the amount of concrete as much as possible. Of course, Advanced fixed the "mix up" but not until I threatened to advise other customers to measure the actual amount of concrete they received.

Advanced Pools is a complaint friendly Company which encourages thier customers to let us know that there is a problem. For that reason I would like to apologize to this person for the misunderstanding and problem. For the record, however, we do not recognize who this individual is, and so unfortunately can not do this personally. With regard to the "gazebo" that was removed, if the gazebo was in the area that the pool was to be installed at, we would have had to remove the gazebo in order to dig the pool. As can be imagined, this would necessitate additional labor and dump costs, and I can assume the wording that she was not charged any additional amount for this extra work. Also, we do not install or sell gazebos, so I'm not sure what she is refering to with regard to selling it to another party. With regard to the square footage of the concrete decking, we try to specify on the contract at the time of the contract signing the exact square footage of the concrete so that there will be no misunderstanding. As she states, there apparently was a mix-up in the concrete as formed and the concrete on the plan vs the amount on the contract. That can happen, but I'm sure that this was unintentional. As she states, however, we apparently fixed the problem. Our current proceedure is to have the customer examine the forming of the concrete before the time that concrete is poured in order to eliminate any misunderstanding. It is not, and has never been, our intention to rip off customers. In fact we do have a long history of building pools, but our policy has always been to be fair. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
