I am reporting a scammer.

The scammer is Adam Ripley of Digital Direct Satellite Systems (http://www.digital-directss.com).

I have complained more than three times. I have e-mailed the seller more than three times. I have tried to contact the seller more than three times. I have tried to get a verbal or written response out of the seller more than three times. After the seller received my money order check for $700.00 USD, he still has not sent me anything in return. I never even received any technical support from him after I mailed him the money. I now want my money back since he became unresponsive. Or, he should, at least, give me the equipment and the support that he promised me. The seller never seems to want to make any contact with me. He is always ignoring me. Adam Ripley, the seller, hasn't called or written to me for a while now. He does not respond to my e-mail messages. He has banned me from his website forum, and I have to gain access to the website forum under different usernames and e-mail addresses, and he still is continuing to ban me. Please help me! Help me get my money back! Thanks! The desired settlement that I want is a refund.

The sender and complainant is Charisma (((ROR REDACTED PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR SECURITY PURPOSES)))

The receiver and the seller is Adam Ripley of Digital Direct Satellite Systems (http://www.digital-directss.com). His mailing address is 1-403 Sandys Street in Chatham, Ontario N7L 4C8. Adam Ripley resides in Canada while I 'm in the United States. The last phone number that I had for Adam Ripley was 1-519-380-9145. Another number that I collected for Adam Ripley is 1-519-380-9331, but that is number for another person, Thomas J. Wilson. That 1-519-380-9331 number is listed in his WHOIS registration for his website . Just look to this link, (((ROR REDACTED LINK FOR SECURITY PURPOSES))), to see if the same number is still there. Type in "digital-directss.com" to find results.

Well, I mailed the money order check of May of 2004. The money order check is dated May 12, 2004. The Western Union order number is 08104117711.

I was supposed to receive some satellite equipment and support. The satellite equipment that I had ordered then in May of 2004 is now outdated. I have a list of what the items that the seller was going to give me. Please call me at 713-433-7657, so I can give you the names of the items over the phone, or I can fax you over the sheet. Please beware that the pre-ordered items are now outdated!

www.satellitegratuit.com- Another DirectTV scam?

Sorry to hear about your involvement. Of course, you are on the side of the law, and you were scammed, it would appear. This is a site that I saw, its a business news site and it shows that a company similar to Digital Direct was sued. It may or may not be the same as the one you are reporting, however, as a US and Canadian citizen, I know that Canada is very lax for fraud. Many people come here and they laugh and brag that they can defraud citizens and get off with three months in jail, or no punishment, just a 1,000 fine! Ive seen it all the time.

So this is the site http://www.allbusiness.com/legal/legal-services-litigation/5029484-1.html

"DIRECTV, Inc. announced today that it has filed a lawsuit in Ontario, Canada against 19 Canadian citizens and five of their businesses that it believes were participating in a scheme to activate fraudulent DIRECTV accounts that enabled individuals to receive DIRECTV programming without authorization by or proper payment to DIRECTV."

If you read you will see that they use different names, and this helps them to get away with fraud both in the USA and elsewhere. The article shows extensive fraud.

The other thing you should know is that the french canadian version, of this site and this fraud, is www.satellitegratuit.com

I tried that link interested in "free satellite" who wouldn't. Many people complain but the fact is that many just pay the bill, however, if you paid with a credit card, call your credit card company and show them any and all the paperwork or emails you have sent them and not received any response. Ultimately, if the bank doesnt want to pursue them, thats fine, but you dont have to be frauded, the bank was also frauded, so have them pay you back, insist on it.

The other thing to do is to show the Canadian associations that this company is defrauding you, or people in the USA. They claim to be providing services in UK and elsewhere and that is the nature of fraudulent people. Again, if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

It seems that DirectTV in the US is a real company but that other frauders, probably based in Canada, are using direct Tv as a jingle because it sounds like the real company, and they may be stealing money as they did, from the real DirectTV company (call this guy or find them and complain there, remember this is an old posting so the owner CEO may be different, but its a place to start (Dan Fawcett, executive vice president, Legal and Business Affairs, DIRECTV, Inc., Florida)

Please mention that a subscriber, use my name, CJ Plourde from Montreal, found a clipping in a street ad called satellitegratuit.com which lead me to a site announcing "Free TV Cable For Ever". In the past I ordered something very much like this, about five years ago, and I never could get anything, the stations I was getting are stations that one can get on the web, so I stopped using it, and just used it as a lesson to be careful. However that's what they bank on. I don't know if this company is the same, but go and look and see if it looks the same to you. I am pretty sure it is. Best of luck to you!
