After going back to the dealership they were able to work everything out. At this point I am satisfied with the results.

I understand completely what you are saying. You are correct in claiming you no longer credit worthy. However, you have no evidence of fraud. As per your own admission, you talked with someone and then AFTER THE FACT you informed them you recorded them. You CANNOT legally record someone without their knowledge and approval. As such, any "evidence" you may have is not that recording. If you signed a disclosure statement which says you agreed the transaction is dependent on credit approval, you will need to give back the car and you are entitled to your trade. So then, I would not be telling anyone about your free car just yet.
