We called Action Appliances, Inc. in Aurora, Colorado on Saturday August 20th to come out and repair our LG washing machine. Marcel came out and told us that he needed to order a part, but we had to pay him 523.36 before he would order it and 100.00 upon completion of the job. Two days later he came out with the part and said he fixed it, I tried to run the machine and it had the same problem as before. I tried to catch Marcel and tell him it still didn't work, but he had left. I called again and Cody came out two days later stating we needed another part for 150.00. Action twice told me that the part would be ready in two days. This went on for two weeks. Marcel came back out on Friday September 9th with the part and said that he needed my help in removing a piece of metal from the drum. He asked me to hit the metal piece with a hammer while he held the drum in place. The piece did not budge. Marcel then pounded the part while I held the drum in place. it didn't work. He told me that he needed to take the part back to his shop and would return the next day. He returned on Saturday September 10th and put the machine back together and said that we needed to order yet another part because I damaged the part. This is the part that HE INSTRUCTED ME to hit with a hammer. He told me it would cost another 200 - 300 dollars. He told me I was negligible for ruining the part. He could have been the one who damaged the part when he struck it with a hammer or back at the office. We refused to pay any more money, so he left. The machine does not work after paying over seven hundred fifty dollars in service and part fees. We could have purchased a new washing machine with the money we paid to Action Appliances... on sale at Loews for 650.00. I feel they should have suggested that the parts and labor would be more than the washer was worth at the onset. I feel that I have been taken advantage of and robbed. We have repeatedly called to complain about this situation to Action directly, but they say there is nothing they can do for us because we won't pay them any more money. The washer is completly disassembled and we ended up having to spend 775.00 on another washer after Action refused to make right on the situation.
