AAMCO Transmissions is Shafting customers out of Warranty Work consumer ripoff
Back in 1998 I had my transmission rebuilt at AAMCO transmissions in Boca Raton, FL. I paid an extra 800 dollars for the lifetime warranty. Then in June of this year the tranny started to go again. I thought it would be covered but they pulled some stunt that I didn't have an annual recheck so the warranty was viod. They never told me about an annual recheck but it was obscurely stated in the book so I ended up paying for it to have the warranty reinstated.
Well about a month ago it started to go again. I took it in to be checked because my speedometer it was not working. When I took my car the the shop the speedo was out and they said that the warranty was void. The say the removal caused the damage even though it happened before. I put the speedo back in and it works fine but they for now have voided the warranty again.
This really irritating me for they are looking for an excuse to blame the problem on to avoid thir responsibility. They also removed all proof of the last repair in June stating that I had paid another $2,000 on the transmission and that the warranty was reinstated. I feel cheated and I can't afford to spend more money on the car. I feel I am being ripped off!.
