AAMCO TRANSMISSION (Complete Car Fraud Experts)
Attention: Larry Adams Owner/CEO and Mike Customer Service Manager
1267 W. Redlands Blvd Redlands, CA 92373 909-793-7261

Dear, Mr. Adams I Carl Smith  am writing you today to inform you that your  office manager mike was very rude and unprofessional with inappropriate personal stories about gang and drug life with a Los Angeles gang-- rolling 30s crips.  Im very unhappy and dissatisfied with the terrible service at your AAMCO shop, its unreal with all the misrepresentations and fraud by your manager Mike. It appears he has committed unethical practices at your Redlands location and its a fact these unethical practices were trained by you the OWNER and implemented across the board to all staff personnel in ways to misrepresent your customers. I had my ford explorer towed in by triple AAA on Saturday at 10am on 11/10/12 and Mike was the man that handles the intake.

However, he rushed me during the intake process by over talking me and talk fast like a con artist. He verbal told me he would take care of me and that because the car had previous transmission work done on it he would give me affordable best price and discounts. Also, Mike promised he make sure everything was taking care of during the process. Meanwhile, that Saturday morning, I was asking questions but he kept talking fast trying to get me out the door so I would not recognize store policies. I informed him I just purchased the car two weeks ago and that the transmission went out. He stated well we have to do a diagnosis test on it but it was free of charge.  He never gave me a written estimatejust a bunch of verbal promises. I sign a document that states they can perform diagnosis test only and that its free of charge according to his verbal agreement.

Mike never informed me of their policy because he made it as if he was the owner by talking fast and making false promises that he was going to give me the best deal and that he would not do any work unless I give authorization. Well, he lied about that and the prices. He called me on Monday morning 11/12/12 at 8 am and informed me he did the test and that he cannot tell whats wrong with the car. Also, Mike stated I need to do a tear down for car so I can get a better idea whats going on. This is the unethical because he never gave a price or estimate of teardown and reassemble. He clearly expected me to do business over the phone without review teardown cost.  I told him I get back to him  I need to talk it over with my significant other he  kept pressure me  well we have it hear on the rackwe can get this done asap. I informed Mike I need to get a ride down there and see the entire written estimates and make a decision after I talk with my significant other.
He made it clear if they tear it down you dont have to pay anything we would put it back together and I could go to another shop at my choice. At this point he sounds real desperate for business and very crafty.

Meanwhile, Mike called on Tuesday 11/13/12 at 730 am he stated hey I have you car what do you want me to do with it. I informed Mike Im still waiting to get in touch with my girlfriend and that he needs to be patient because you have my car and I have no way to Redlands from Rancho Cucamonga. I explain Im 25 minutes away and I do not do business over the phone. At this point he starts give estimates over the phone $700 dollars for teardown and estimates of $2200 or $2400 for new transmission. The price kept changing and I said the women that I purchased the car from paid $2100 but she had no warranty. I said do not do anything until I get there because I can get it cheaper if its going be that high.  He kept making promises ok well I take care of you I see if I can knock off few hundreds. But teardown was the issue he left me in the dark and start talking prices on a new transmission without even tearing it down. I was confused and ask if I can call back until Im there at the shop physically going over a detail written estimate of cost. Meanwhile, I did not make it to the shop and the follow week I get rude call from the real Owner Mr. Larry Adams introducing himself as the big mean guy yelling and screaming on my answering machine threaten me that I abandon my car and that he was going to lien/sale it and sue me for whatever reason you stated --policy states after five days cars left unpaid will be impound or sold by the owner and there will be costly storage fees and court fees.

Well, this became an alarm that Mr. Mike was informing you Mr. Adams the wrong information and he twisted words and misrepresent himself as the owner. In addition, he made all types of promised but lied and went back and told you a different story.  The Teardown and the complete work was not authorized. Your manager Mike did the work pretending to be the owner and Boss. He tried to do business over the phone which is a violation without written estimates for all teardowns. Bottom line, Mr. Adams you and your manage Mike failed to give legal documents according to bureau automotive repair act Therefore, you and your employee committed violations against the law.

FAILURE TO GIVE NOTICE FRAUDULENT/MISREPRESENTATON
1Written estimate for all repairs. Also authorization
2 The cost which include teardown and reassemble
3 Hours it will take the shop to reassemble
4 Estimate cost of parts and labor/
5 Parts need for repairs

Meanwhile, I finally made it down to the shop on Monday 11/19/12 10:30 am after talking to you Mr. Adams. I came with my significant other and you were no wear to be found at your AAMCO shop. I encounter Mike who made excuses he was going to talk to you and that we could work it out. I informed Mike I need to speak with Mr. Larry in person and that I do not conduct business over the phone. Mike explains you were busy and you had to leave to visit another shop. Its ridiculous to have a customer come  25 minutes away and leave because you think visiting another shop is more you significantwhen your current manager is a fraudulent person  giving misrepresentation to steal customers cars so you and him can split profits in a  business where you have  (car lot/ dealership)various car liens of customers on your lot . It appears, after getting a tour from Mike this is unethical practice that you and your team conduct performing work without customers authorization and then you threaten to lien sale and sue them for currency.

I demand to have my car back in great shape tear it down and put my old parts back in because no one gave permission to work on it. Also, these fraudulent practices will be report to federal agency. I willing to work this out however, you failed and I sure there is other customers that has experience the same unethical practices.

Thank you
Sincerely
Carl S
