I'll repond to: "If it were at all possible I would start a boycott, but as they are subsidized by your tax dollars and are the only place I can get most of my military equipment they are a monopoly for the US Service Members" AAFES is not subsidized by tax dollars. I don't know where your getting that? And the only reason (forced) to shop at AAFES is at the Military Clothing Sales. The last time I bought anything at AAFES was over 3 years ago. Their price & service sucks, so don't buy there.

I completely agree with Cassandra. Not all of the employees should be at fault for the bad management at what seems to be every store. The employees are over-worked, and paid poorly. At the store I worked at, we worked in the heat because the air conditioning was always either broken or the managers didn't want to turn it on, and we had to put up with the cash registers always malfunctioning, tags being marked wrong or the price isn't in the system at all, and we had to deal with many other things that would drive anyone insane. Most people who work there don't work there for too long, because they really are treated like slaves. Most employees are military dependants. Is this how the families of those defending our country should be treated?

Please dont blame the AAFES employees. We are over worked and under paid. I work 7 days a week. but I get part time pay. because they give a off day so that the 7 days fall into the new work week. acutally I work 5 the one pay week and 2 the second. but its 7 days straight. I cant even take off to get my sons stiches out. EVERYONE QUITS AS SOON AS THEY START. I do see some employees being rude. I try my best to provide good customer service. I never see my children. I work sick. I feel like a slave. I dont even know how to request a day off. I havent even had my orientation yet. because they have to have workers. Trust me We suffer like You. plus my husband is a soldier. when he goes back to iraq. I may and may not be allowed to get off to see him off or to come back. Thats AFFES serving the best customers in the world.
