We were a A All Animal Control franchise owner in Southern CT for Mark Dotson FOR 5 PLUS YEARS.  We were one of his top producing offices...." Top producing " barely pays the bills!!   Mark charges you 7 percent of gross per month plus an start up fee of 30,000.  This service gets you a big book with nothing but common knowledge in the Nuisance Wildlife industry.   You can attend a YEARLY NWCOA seminar for $1000 and get the same information...

Mark tries to preach about being a A ALL ANIMAL CONTROL FAMILY but all he cares about is your monthly check.   After having to get a second job to pay the bills Mark gave me one day to decide if I wanted to work fill time for AAAC or lose my franchise rights.  THis was after 5 years of service and sending him over 100,000 in royality fees..  He claims to be this nationwide company yet says he cannot compete against OTHER nationwide companies like Orkin, Critter Control, and Terminex.  Many of the top selling offices leave after 4 or 5 years of service...

He also marks up every product you have to buy to try and make more money off you from truck letter, to business cards / office suppies, safety videos and apparrel. Do not waste your hard earned money on this franchise system.. All Mark cares about is the all mighty dollar.... Sure he will give you references but never from the franchises that leave him....

Resolutions

#2Author of original report

Wed, February 22, 2012

After speaking with Mr Dotson's Collections agencies a friendly and fair resolution has been reached....

I made an error on our Franchise Fees.  We did not send $100k nor gross $355k   We sent 8k to 14k per year plus a franchise start up fee.   The total was still under 100k...

As far as Authorities, previous records and theft of property I have no idea what this about.  Mr Robinson is a college educated professional and has 16 years experience as a HR Mgr for large fortune 500 companies.  He has passed all background checks to date.

I would like to put this chapter behind us and wish Mr Dotson luck in his Future Endeavors.

I would not view Mr Dotson negatively due to my initial report....A fair and correct resolution has been reached as our signed contract states...

Franchise Owner Terminated For Multiple Violations of Franchise Agreement

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

Tue, February 21, 2012

Mr. Robinson and Mr. Cuozzo owned the Southern CT franchise from April 2, 2007 until their office was terminated on December 21, 2011 ( 4 years and 5 months) for numerous violations of their franchise agreement. In October of 2011, Mr. Robinson shut down their office without informing corporate of this closure which is a violation of their franchise agreement.

Mr. Robinson and Mr. Cuozzo never attended their mandatory annual conferences, safety training or monthly conference calls that are designed to help grow their business. More violations of their franchise
agreement. Mr. Robinson states that you can get the same info at an industry seminar. How would he know? He never attended one and ours were FREE!

A All Animal Control believes in a strong training program in business and safety to help ensure the success and well being of our owners.

Mr. Robinson has made threats to us over text messaging and on our voicemail and based on his past, we have filed a restraining order against him and filed a police report for theft of our intellectual property as
well as enlisting our collection agency to collect money still owed to us.

Mr. Robinson states that he has paid over $100,000 in royalties in the 4.5 years he has been with our company. This translates into $315,555 a year in sales. We find it difficult to believe that he could not pay
his bills with $315,555 a year in sales.

If this franchise was such a bad thing, then why did Mr. Robinson stay with our company for so long?
Mr. Robinson states that our top selling offices leave after 4 or 5 years of service.

Our top selling office just achieved their 10th year anniversary with us and signed for an additional 10 years in December of 2011. We just awarded 2 owners with a 5 year award, 1 for a 6 year award and 3
for a 7 year award at our 2012 Annual Conference in Charleston, WV.

Our franchise owners purchase items at a significant discount due to the buying power of our business size. Recommended vendors supply these products and services to our owners at an exclusive discount and they do not purchase these products from corporate.

A All Animal Control was named in the top 50 franchise small market segment for 2012 by Franchise Business Review. 22,000 different franchise systems franchisees are surveyed to rate the satisfaction of their franchise owners and we ranked #22 in the nation. You earn a ranking like that by taking
great care of your franchise owners and treating them like family. Franchise owners that do not want to comply with our system requirements weed themselves out over time just like a bad employee would. Now this area is open and is a great opportunity for someone that would like to grow with a successful company
that is the 2nd largest of its type in America. Visit http://www.fbr50.com/
to verify our ranking.
