24 Hour Fitness steals money from consumers. After canceling my account they continued to charge my bank for seven more months. After pointing out the error, they said corporate policy wouldn't allow them to return more than 30 days even though they admitted that the mistake was their own. They steal money from people, they know it is their fault, but they hide behind their policies to legitimize the money they take from people. This is a terrible organization and I'm dissapointed that I was ever a customer with them. Would not recommend this place.

You're absolutely correct - brilliant point. Companies should be allowed to steal as much money as possible from their customers as long as it goes unoticed for more than 30 days. It definitely shouldn't matter that the company's own records show the account was closed, and that they didn't provide any service during that time for that money they took.
It makes you wonder why companies like Zappos bother to provide such great customer service? Far better for 24 Hour Fitness to steal customer's money and then make their poor employees go online and defend that theft. Rock solid business plan - I'm sure it'll keep the company in business for a long time to come.

You say they've been charging you SEVEN months? Why did YOU allow it to go longer than ONE month??? Let me guess. You didn't even bother to check your credit card or bank statements during this time! Because of YOUR failure to properly monitor YOUR accounts, you want to blame them and bow to your wishes! If this is a checking account, for at least SIX MONTHS, you failed to even balance your statements! Absolutely incredible!
