1800flowers abused & mistreated, ripping off their employees day by day, minute by minute ....
I was been employed at 1800-flowers.com here in Alamogordo for 10 months I have been fighting with this company here along with around 20 of my colleagues for unpaid hours.
The companies excuses to us is because we work at
night, and time downloads from New York, the company headquarters affects our "switch time". This is not so. I have a lot of day time workers also who have not gotten all their hours on their checks,nor their over time pay for quite some months now.
Our proof is in our logs, performance detail records,
and switch time. We have requested these documents
printed out to take to the labor board here, and are
getting these requests denied. We do not have the
password to print it out ourselves.
I am trying to launch an investigation of this
company. We have discovered that our logs, and time
can be adjusted through the computer, so they are
scared that if we go public with this evidence that wehave, the records will "accidentally change"....if
you get my drift...that is why we have requested
these documents printed out. When we got denied several times...
I could havethought that it was a law in New Mexico for a company to supply you with a copy of your logs
and time, along with details when they change it.. we have been to go to the Labor Board, but we were told we needed our proof...we only have access to our word for now, unless something can be done for them to have to print out our proof..
Our time does not match our paycheck stubs, and our
logs, do not match our switch time. If we are there
for 40 hours a week, we barely make 32 hours on the
computer, on top of that, the checks are not adding
our overtime, nor the hours that are on our time
logs. i was told by a colluege of mine who still works there, that he has not been paid his overtime, or holiday pay from Thansgiving! here it is, the begginning of Febuary! they are now doing some "Test" on the computers to see how the Switch time really affects thier employees... we tried to get them to do that almost a year ago today.
What about all the money and hours that they KNOW they shorted us with!!!! and what about all the bonus hours that were affected by this shortage? they have now taken away all the bonuses and incentive plans, as WELL as the PAYRAISES!!! i would like to get a class action suit against them ,if this has happened to you, please contact me!!!! please!! always add your time up yourself!!! that way, you will know, and see the little "mishaps" that happen to your hours every day!
