We called for an online estimate and gave the lady on the phone a description of what we were trying to haul away. We told her it was a couch, a couple small cabinets, and a king size bed frame with headboard. She quoted us a price of around $130. Great.
When the guys showed up, it was now the $130 for JUST the couch. What was described as a price level of up to 400 cubic feet on the phone was now the size of a single fridge. This company is super shady and looks to prey on people in need. No doubt we looked like fresh meat with our POD in the driveway, a clear indicator that we needed to have everything clear out soon. The only other explanation is that the call center employees have a quota and will lie straight to you to get your booking. Either way, way to lose a customer for life over a hundred bucks. I'll be sure to inform everyone I know as well.
