Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
on Thursday 5/5/05 I placed an online order to A mothers day gift to be delivered in time for 5/8/05. The order was taken and a confirmation given. I trusted the flowers will be delivered time as the order stated that Saturday delivery is preferred or friday acceptable. ON Sunday 5/8/05 at 5:pm I received a call from 1800flowers stating the flowers could not be delivered because the delivery person could not get passed the dogs. THERE ARE NO DOGS. They asked what I would like for them to do. I informed them that I would the flowers delivered. The woman replied that the florist is now closed and best they can do is reattempt deliver on monday. I informed the lady that monday is not acceptable. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was informed, she is the supervisor and that she needs to know what I want done with the order. After going round and round, I told her to cancel the order.

Since I have tried contacting someone at 1800flowers.com to get this matter resolve. best response is that they will refund my credit card and issue a 20% gift certificate for future business as a token of appology. (like I am going to use them in the future). Needless to say, My mother in law did not recieve her flowers or any gift from my wife and I. How imbarrasing.

Please post this complain for anyone to see. 1800flowers.com is a SCAM.

I, too, was ripped off by 1800flowers. Like you, I ordered birthday flowers several days in advance for my mother. I even gave them complete directions from major highways. I included both my mother's and my phone #'s in case of problems. When she did not receive the flowers, I called"800" and was told there was a delay because the florist wanted additional payment because of the distance. When another day passed and she still did not get the flowers, I called again. To make a long story short, they contracted with a florist 3.5 hours away from where my mother lived. I explained this to them, but all they could say is "this is the florist we have to use". Sounds like they have an extremely limited number of florists which accept their contracts. I now use flowers.com - they send via FedEx.
