With the first order I ever made with this company, it ended up being the wrong flower arraignment. When I called to complain, they offered my $14.00 off of my next order. Since this was not an important occasion, I accepted and thought it was an accident.
The second order was for my wife's 10th wedding anniversary. Flowers were supposed to be delivered to her place of work. When my wife came home empty handed I flipped. Called 1-800-flowers and they said they would have to call the florist.
Took them 6 hours to get back to me. Florist had delivered to the wrong address. Instead of delivering a new arraignment to my wife, it took two days and the flowers were almost dead. They refused to give me a refund but did offer me a certificate for 20% off of my next order. OK, second time maybe an accident.
This last time was total fraud and abuse. For my wife's birthday, I ordered the flower birthday cake with the chocolates, bear and balloon. The previous discount they previously sent me didn't work. I assumed that it had expired although there was no expiration date on it. The flowers were delivered at the end of the day after 7pm. The flowers were wilted, the $14.00 box of specialty chocolates were actually a $3.00 box of Pepperidge Farms caramels that you can purchase at your local Albertson's and they were half melted.
I called customer support and got the run-around with their automated service. Sent 3 e-mails and they never responded. Was finally able to get someone on the phone and they apologized about the delivery but did not offer a refund even though I asked. They offered me the 20% discount on my next order. I told them to shove it and that I am going to do my best to make sure everyone knows how bad a service they offer.
Take it from me, I wish I had heard about this site earlier. Do yourself a favor and visit a real florist. Do not use 1-800-flowers.con job..
