Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Just like every other report on this site and other sites Zoll shows up at your hospital room when you are not your best and tells you the vest they provide will be covered by insurance. They charged the insurance 7 thousand dollars then sent me a bill for almost 5 thousand more.

I have 0.00 co pay and would never ever taken this POS even if it was one dollar. It was awful and almost malfunctioned several times in the middle of the night which would of shocked the heck out me by mistake.

There customer service was useless if I needed hel and finally the billing engaged me in a verbal knife fight by being arrogant, interuptive and condesending. PleasE please DONT USE this POS and dont deal with them at all they are ripoffs and frauds.

If the DR orders a life vest for you then the SW should be the one ordering the equipment because the DME company needs a order for this equipment to be sent to the DME company. IF you do not have a supplemental insurance policy then you are responsible for the copay. IF you have a commercial policy then the insurance will only pay a certain amount.

ALL DME is covered under Medicare and any Medicare supplemental for 80% and the 20% is the patient's responsibility. Just because you have a zero copay does not mean that DME is covered. DME falls under Medicare part B and once again, if it is a commercial policy (employee/employer policy) then that is up to the policy. SO blaming the company for your insurance not paying is not their fault. That is the way is works and NO I do not work for them but as a SW I do this every time a person discharges.

Once again DME companies are not allowed to engage anyone because they do not have the medical records to know your needs. The only way the a DME company would get your records are when the person who places the order submits them. So place blame where it belongs - on the individual who did not inform you about the cost for the equipment.
