In May, 2022, I received an email advertisement for a special from Thera Face and Body for 3 body ultrasonic cavitation sessions(fat reduction) at the price of $99.00. On May 9, 2022, I called Thera and spoke with Briana  Policarpo who is the  manager of the business.

I explained I was interested in 3 treatments of the ultrasonic cavitation sessions.  She explained I needed to prepay for the services and took my payment of $99.00 over the phone from my Citibank Credit Card.  At that time, I scheduled 3 appointments for the service. 

On the day of my first appointment, Friday,May 13, 2022, I received a call from Briana Policarpo saying she would need to cancel and reschedule my appointment because the bathroom at the clinic was out of service.  I rescheduled my appointment to Tuesday, May 17, 2022. 

On May 17, 2022 I drove to my appointment and  Briana was calling my phone as I pulled into the parking lot.  I told her I was getting ready to come in and she came out to the parking lot and explained that the ultrasonic cavitation machine was out of service and I could not attend the appointment.

I then verbally requested a refund while she was standing there in the parking lot.  She did not respond to my request and went back into the clinic. Subsequently, I tried to call her to request a refund and my phone had been blocked by her so I could not contact her.  On May 18, 2022, I sent an email to Thera requesting a refund of my $99.00 stating I decided not to use their services. 

On May 19, 2022, I sent a text requesting cancellation of my appointments so I would not be charged a late cancelation fee for my future appointments on May 20, 2022 and May 26, 2022.  As of the date this report was written, I have not received a refund. I reviewed their cancellation policy and it only mentions late cancellation fees for missed appointments/ late cancellations.  

I did not receive any services from this business and feel they are unethical.  I should have been issued a refund.
