I contacted Wayne Wooldridge owner of Texas Shallow Oil & Gas LLC through Dealstream.com, which I've been a member for years and have seen his posts in the past. I did do a little back ground check online and check the ripoffreport.com, but nothing appeared. With his oil credentials and website, I thought it was safe to invest with him.
I wanted to invest 2,000 for 2% WI, he said wasn’t available. He said “I can get you in another one for $2,500”. (this was a phone conversation). Text message from Wayne: Jonathan, I’ve done some research which is best lease to put you on. I have a lease that still has a few percent. I can sell. Making 3 bbls day as we speak. Calling in load of oil Monday.
You would receive first check next month around 28th. Cost of this project $2,500 per 1%. How close can you get to this cost to buy 1% and receive first payment next month (June), Just offering Thanks Wayne. Next text message from Wayne: I’ll make it right for you to invest. We can work something out. Best project I have for best returns. With all the rain, we’re behind three locations six months. Mother nature.
Text message from me: I said, “I don’t know if I can get another $500, if I do it would be a month or two. I said “what is the project name for the 1% for $2,500? He said OR Carpenter Lease Rework I can put your u in $2,500. You make up the $500.00 as you can. I have trust. Getting first check end of June. Pretty good bonus. Thanks. I said “ok, sounds good. Did you send the paperwork? I will now lol Just making sure.
The assignment/contract was sent by email. It had a lot of grammar mistakes and wasn’t accurate. I had to correct it in google document, which took like 20 minutes of my time. I sent Wayne Wooldridge $2,200 by wire on 6/7/19 and mailed the notarized paperwork, owing him $300, which I said, I’ll send by mail in a month or two.
I texted him three times, no reply. So, I waited a month or two and still no reply back. Only when I emailed him, saying this is a scam, he emailed back and said no. I said to him I lost confidence in him and his project. Please send my $2,200 back, because I wasn’t going to send the remainder of $300, when I lost contact with him. If he was an honest man or business person, he would of return my money, because neither one of us full filled the contract.
I went to the Better business Bureau with my complaint. Wayne Wooldridge of Texas shallow oil & gas ignored them. The following is there report to me:
