Bought a Galaxy S10E 9 months ago. The included Earbuds stopped working a couple weeks ago and are still under warranty. I contacted the company to get them replaced, and they sent me an older pair (the kind included with the S8).

I contacted them again to explain, and was told numerous times over the course of three hours that these were the same earbuds (they are not). Finally after speaking with a supervisor I was told they would have someone contact me within 72 hours regarding the matter and that the correct Earbuds would be sent.

Lo and behold, no contact for over a week. Called again, was told that they couldn't do anything to help me.

So... they replaced the defective product with something similar, which is all they are required to do.  They are under no obligation to replace it with the exact same model.
