Ryan is a drug addict and a liar. He manipulated and used me, a single mother. He got kicked out of his house and had a sob story about overdosing on drugs and how he needed help. I let him move in with the promise of rent.
There was no rent and he had me support him to the point I had to get a loan to survive and pay my own bills. After I kicked him out finally he came over and took money to go buy us food and never came back.
He is very charming and acts like a victim but ultimately is a rat looking for vulnerable girls to scam out of money.

Concentrate on yourself and your child, and take a vacation from "helping" other people, and you'll be fine. Real friends will demand nothing of you but friendship- and friendship never means free rent, cash, or anything else that fake "friend" knows d**n well you can't afford. Good luck.

Fair enuf. I learned this lesson years ago and believe me I’m kicking myself already. He won’t be back. I am already carrying a ton of shame from the situation

You're a single mother who is barely getting by- and you open your door to a "charming" homeless drug addict, because I'm sure you thought he'd be a great role model for your kid. Then you expect him to care that you can barely afford to sustain yourself and your child and-- what? Move on? Pay rent? Really? A homeless drug addict?
Then you give him money that he says he's going to use to buy you food and he "never comes back." Well, count your blessings and change your locks, honey. You handed this user money for your own reasons - god knows what they are, but I suspect they have something to do with him being a guy and you being "big hearted"- and surprise surprise, he didn't come back with groceries.
I'm guessing this bum will be back in your life- and in your home- within a week or two, because you sound like the kind of person who needs more than one crack across the skull before she gets it. For the sake of your kid, prove me wrong and refuse to open the door no matter how much he pours on the "charm."
