Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I attended a Coolsculpting event at this new medspa in September, 2019. I knew nothing of Laura Avanesyan's experience in this area, only that she is not a doctor. I hurried to complete a form before my free consultation. Verbally, and in writing, I indicated my circulatory condition, Raynaud's. I had no knowledge of the procedure, so asked many questions, and was not ready to commit to the procedure. After a quick visit with Laura A., and still needing to know more about the procedure, I was sent to her daughter, office manager, Ruzanna O. to purchase a package deal I did not intend to. I had to go home to get my credit card. Four thousand dollars later, I still wasn't sure this procedure was right for me.

Even with my concerns, Laura A. maintained that I was a good candidate, and a "small" person, with not much fat, but would need 4 overlapping cycles on my abdomen, $$$! I got a second opinion before my appointment, and was told that would be a waste of money. I agreed to use two cycles, like other places offering Coolsculpting would have. I was losing trust in my provider, fast. I got a quick abdominal massage before my arms were treated the same visit. The position my hands were in caused them to go numb with pain 10 minutes before the procedure was complete. Laura A. tried to persuade me to return in 2 weeks for a repeat abdominal treatment. I thought it best to wait for visible results.

I did some internet research, and found that Laura A. was not up front with me about being a good candidate, with Raynaud's. My next visit was for the"banana roll" Laura confirmed needed to be treated on both upper legs. I felt disrespected that day because Laura A. was 1/2 hour arriving for my afternoon appointment, and stayed in the room to watch me remove paper underwear and get dressed. Unprofessional. I saw no positive results on any of the 3 areas after 3 months, then requested new photos. The "Before" were taken with a white background and indirect lighting. The "After" photos used a black background and bright direct lighting (whiteout effect). Laura A. was especially pleased with results she insisted she saw in the photos on the banana roll area. I saw no improvement after, and no "banana roll" before, yet she freely took my money. You be the judge. See attached photos, for an example. The only change is a bump I now wear on my right abdomen.

Initially I feared a medical concern, but an Ultrasound ruled that out. Paradoxical adipose hyperplasia cannot be reversed by another Coolsculpting treatment. I cancelled the remaining cycles. From the start, I was pressured to purchase more Coolsculpt cycles. At each visit, Ruzanna O. heavily pressured me to purchase Botox, and other services (I repeatedly stated I was not interested in), and even take out a loan for them! As probably the first non family, paying, Coolsculpt client at MyImage, I cannot recommend this procedure there. Zeltiq/Allergan takes a substantial commission from the sale of their products. This affects the disposition of their client, if they are not doing well. More than 3 months after my last appointment, posting a disappointing review, and receiving repeated annoyance calls from Zeltiq company, I had one more interaction with MyImage Skin and Body.

I found out my photos were posted on Facebook. I had rescinded permission to use them in December. I called the office, leaving a voice message to remove them because they were causing a problem. Incited by Laura, the next morning, an associate/5 star reviewer, Amanda, left a threatening, harassment message on my answering machine. She claimed to be an agent from a non existing, security and legal services company. Amanda very poorly read a scripted message that I now maintain a record of. Shameful, unprofessional behavior, Laura!

The 9 MyImage Google reviews at the time of this post were from friends and relatives, including Laura A., and her daughter. She often dressed inappropriately for a medical professional, like she was going on a dinner date after the appointment, in her dress and stiletto heels. Choose wisely based on all observations when opting for CoolSculpting. It does not work for everyone, and positive results of 20-25% fat loss are not guaranteed after one treatment, depending on what the provider wishes to tell you. It's best to deal with a licensed physician when you agree to this procedure.

"Closing Arguments":

#2Author of original report

Wed, September 01, 2021

I called out Laura Avanesyan FNP, for mistreating me, and the release of confidential patient information. She gladly accepted $4,000 from me, having the choice to turn me away, as not a good candidate for Coolsculpting. Placing my arms above my head, seated, instead of at my sides, to treat my arms, caused me to lose circulation in my arms. Had I complained, it was at a loss of $1,000 to shut down the machine. I spent two minutes slapping my hands on the exam table and shaking my arms to regain circulation and stop the stinging pain. Not she or any employee attempted to massage my arms to get the circulation back. The eventual "after massage" was done too late. The Before and After photo trick was a tacky attempted cover up. In some "After" photos, my body appears grossly misshapen because the top garment Laura gave me to wear is indiscernible from the black background.

She claimed I needed the treatment for a "banana roll" which can't be found on any "Before" photos. Worst of all, after abdominal treatment, I had an increase in stomach size, moreso on one side making the area uneven. She left the room when I came to an appointment specifically for her to examine the deformity, breaching duty of care. I had 2 cycles left to use on the abdomen but expressed I was too afraid to do any more Coolsculpting. Of the $4,000, she agreed to reimburse $900 for the unused prepaid treatment. I left the office dumbfounded at her refusing care, and sent an email asking for her reconsideration, 2 weeks later. I waited over a year, but she would not offer to examine and diagnose the Coolsculpted lumpy, bulging stomach I was left with. This was care I was entitled to as her patient for this medical procedure.

Meanwhile, I dealt with many harrassment calls from her friend and her office manager/daughter over lawsuits, restraining/cease and desist orders, and money. I made an arbitration effort, considering the physical and emotional pain she, Ruzanna and the RN friend caused. I did everything within legal reason. My reviews were truthful, and my opinion, and no cause for revenge.

Laura Avanesyan sued me for exercising my first amendment rights, to the tune of $10,000. She falsely accused me of owing her $1500, and claimed I mentioned her "family", divorce (?), and "what she wears under her lab coat" in my Yelp review. She alleged that I had signed a nonexistent form stating that I was satisfied with her Coolsculpting treatment results, and that I sued my daughter, primary care doctor, dentist and....dermatologist??? She also claimed that I came many times to her office exhibiting hostile behavior AND made continuous threatening, calls to her office, over a period of 17 months. As this never occurred, there were no police or security company reports, surveillance or cell phone capture of the visits, or cell or voice mail records of the calls. I left only one, informative, non threatening, voice mail.

She attested that she and her employees were afraid of me and she couldn't sleep at night in fear. She had to lock the door of the business and take clients by appointment only, because of me! In reality, she made several police reports regarding her fear of transients who often congregate outside her business. Subsequently, she locked the door to be safe from the homeless. The list of falsehoods she made against me out of vengeance for my veracity, under oath, before a judiciary is lengthy. Gratefully, they were recorded and transcribed, and I have hard copies of the false statements she turned in to the court.

The nurse practitioner used a former co worker, RN, to foolishly make harassment calls to my home, calling me sick, evil spirited, mentally ill, psycho...then expected me to pay her to leave me alone. The co conspirator, Lisa/Amanda also attempted to sue me for $10,000, alleging that, in reviewing MyImage, I damaged her (unknown) business. These two ladies are medical professionals?

Laura Avanesyan, FNP, is forbidden from filing any more malicious, frivolous lawsuits against me. She should have been fined for filing a vexatious restraining order, that didn't even describe me. She played a few judges for fools, but, in the end, justice was upheld in preventing her from unlawfully acquiring $10,000 (twice!) for her unethical behavior toward me. After being told that she could not file another frivolous lawsuit against me, she boldly defied court order. Laura's law!

Laura Avanesyan FNP, wore scrubs as street clothes, to court, in hopes of gaining sympathy. She claimed that, during the continuing Covid 19 pandemic, she works 4 days a week, between 2 hospitals, in the ICU, caring for dying patients. At each hearing, she wept crocodile tears at this point for affect. If she was telling the truth this one time, this RN/FNP, was potentially exposing innocent bystanders to pathogenic bacteria carried on her clothes! How can she claim I caused her to have to give up serving walk ins, when she's only at her business 3 days a week?

Those of you who reviewed MyImage with 5 stars, please keep this exhausting experience in mind, and remember, you (or I) can always remove a review if you do not approve of such unscrupulous behavior. My review, will stay. Her fees are generally higher than other 5 star Botox and other medspa services in the area. Unless you continue to get discounts after posting a review, what difference does it make if you take yours down because you don't support replacing integrity with unbridled rage? Four days after the second lost $10,000 lawsuit in June 2021, she was filing another lawsuit for $9,999, against someone else! Be careful dealing with this frequent flyer litigator, or you may be next!

Coolsculpting is not controlled the way Botox injecting is. There are thousands and thousands of deformed bodies worldwide, regretting having Coolsculpting done for a tiny stomach bulge, back fat, chin or arms. The percentage is steadily increasing, but numbers have been underreported by Allergan. Repeat surgical procedures are often necessary to correct the damage Coolsculpting gone wrong has created. Remember this when you initial the release form, and pray that you are not (a patient of Laura Avanesyan's) among those left to suffer from PAH and other medical conditions Coolsculpting brought on. Since 90's supermodel Linda Evangelista shared the news of her lawsuit against Allergan (Zeltiq) for the physical and mental damage Coolsculpting caused, this procedure will finally receive the notoriety it deserves.

MyImage Skin and Body Harassment Calls

#3Author of original report

Sun, August 02, 2020

First it was "Monda," who left a message on my answering machine, claiming to be an agent of a security and legal firm representing MyImage Skin and Body. She left her call back number, which an online check indicated belonged to her former business, a hospice which had been shut down. It also listed her real name. She is a 5 Star reviewer of MyImage. My curiosity as to why this stranger was bothering me, led me to an online search.

I found the true connection between her name and Laura Avanesyan's. They both worked in Healthcare, and partnered in an unsuccessful termination lawsuit against a former employer. She gave up representing a nonexistent business, but continued to leave messages, now as Amanda or Lisa Amanda, telling me that I needed to pay her money or she was going to take legal action against me! I also received a threatening phone message from Ruzanna, (Daughter/Office Manager /5 Star reviewer)reading a list of inadmissible allegations that MyImage was sueing me for.

Both parties claimed they were also filing restraining and cease and desist orders against me. It is not illegal to post a negative review. Leaving phone messages admissible in a court of law, stating, "Pay me," and, "We will take every legal avenue to 'ensuuure' that you compensate us...," sure does have the sound of an extortion attempt, though.

Now I am reporting not only poor CoolSculpting skills and treatment, but the childish, shameful, lowly, unprofessionalism of those associated with MyImage Skin and Body. Getting dressed up for work, having an aesthetically pleasing office, offering water, coffee, and candy while sweet talking clients into spending more, can't cover the ugliness of what you people did to spite a dissatisfied client.
