Buyer beware on hiring Michael A. Garcia (Frontline Inc.). He's nothing more than a con artist posing as a general Contractor. Was paid to remodel a home in San Antonio and after collecting more than he should have he bailed on the job leaving a complete mess. He has several other complaints against him with the city of SA and his license has since been suspended.
A real smooth talker who never has any intention of ever finishing a job. His method of operation is to draw up a fancy contract complete with all phases of the job. He'll collect for the first phase and do some demo then he'll ask for the next phase payment and beyond that will make any excuse he can think of as to why work is not progressing.
- What little work he did do was not up to code and had to be corrected
- Permits were either not pulled or if they were, not paid for so created more trouble with the City permit office.
- Left roof demo'd and uncovered for 6 wks. Came up with every excuse possible as to why it was never installed. Ultimately had to pay somone else to do the work
- Poor work, just enough done to try and collect the next phase is all he's interested in.
- Will claim that next phase of work is lined up and paid for and should move on to the next phase only so he can collect more money.
Stay way clear of this scam artist and his company! He has no intention of doing anything other than stealing your money.
