MI Homes (aka: MI Homes Inc) uses substandard materials, and sub-par contractors for their new home builds. They cut corners and outright lie to customers about timing, materials, and warranty coverages. MI Homes has built a negative reputation for their long history of lying to customers and have several lawsuits against them.
Here is what you can expect in the FIRST YEAR when building with MI Homes and MI Homes Inc.:
*They will install your flooring directly over concrete, causing long-term health issues such as: knee, joint and back pain
*Cracks in your drywall where the sub-par materials are actually buckling
*Cracking in all of your windows, walls, banisters- every part of your home
*Corners cut in your attic where they do not secure load-bearing trusses
*Flooring that looks like it was sewn as a patchwork quilt
*Nails coming thru the middle of your walls and caving in the ceilings

The bonus is, MI Homes and MI Homes Inc, being the sub-par builders they are, will not make any repairs to correct these defects in building materials and contractor installation; despite them clearly falling under their warranty No, MI Homes and MI Homes Inc will decide to change their warranty coverage after you close and not honor their warranty as they are required to do. Even when you have a structural engineer inspect your home and they include these as items for repair in that report, citing that these should not be issues occurring this early after the build of a home, thus causing you to now add to their list of lawsuits for sub-par work.
